Thanks for getting back.

I was thinking of getting FC, but it's around SGD 4000, and after discount I think lowest I can get is about SGD 3500.

However the issue is that FC and Nomos resale value's pretty low right? =:p

If you seek to sell after 3-5 yrs get a pre own rolex or Pam
If u buying new most watched resale value low, even jlc, tag, longines, Patek, VC

Only spending $3-4k buy used only way to mini lost, else spend $30-40k on used patek

Thanks for getting back! I will do some research on Nomos. Generally the pricing would be around SGD 2000 to SGD 3000?

Normally when one is getting a watch, what's the technical part to look into?

1) Movement?
2) Brand?
3) Durability of the strap and the mechanics?

What are the other things to look out for? Sorry I have a lot to learn on this.

Nomos prices below

that should be last on your mind. Those who own a Patek Calatrava also would suffer as prices dropped 10%-15% here :)

If i had to choose, Nomos has a nice in-house movement but servicing could be an issue if you choose to do it in Bangkok.

FC is also nice to have

good choices from either side. nice headache to have. If not, buy both :D

Nomos very simple movement any place that is capable of doing ETA can do it if one is just performing oiling

Yup, transparent one. They have different sizes. At least all my straps are not thrown everywhere.

new watches from steinhart

i like the small seconds but i think it disrupts the numbers 5 thru 7 so much that it takes away the legibility that pilots are known for.

much prefer zenith's pilots layout, even this one which is much more complicated, but does not compromise legibility:

Interesting take on cathedral hands..

The zenith is an odd one. A rounder onion crown would've fit better. And it really looks like something outta the red army watch shop...
