This discontinued watch is known as the Omega "Great White".
A preowned mint set with full box and papers was sold.for 2.3k (before nego) at Luxury Concept in May'14.
Hope you'll find the information useful.
Rhodimus prime how many times must u lose your matrix?? LOL
Yes I'm a big fan of the vintage seikos as well. Happy for you to have gotten the piece, looks good condition too!
Been trying my luck to get the same model for a while, but no go so far. More love for the 7a38/7a28!

Thanks for the replies guys, yeah I know generally the speedy pro's are more reverred and all, I appreciate the history and provenance as well. However the winning point for me for the reduced is it's smaller case diameter, I have pretty small wrists and imo the moonwatch would look a bit too big on the wrists. Also my budget is slightly tighter, thus I feel that for the price it would make a great gateway watch into the "luxury" watch world
Nice collections rodimus_prime!
Is this the PO? Looks a bit strange to me. The dial and the numbers on the bezel look off. Maybe due to angle of the shot ?
Was the dssd discontinued?
if you're looking for a slight variation there are other vintage speedies fromt he 70's to check out. in this pic you can see the pro (right) versus the mk 2/3/4 (bottom to top) with a more small-wrist-friendly case design:

you can still find good bargains, but has been interest picking up here in SG for these. a few years back it'd would be easy to find these for around SGD1.5K, a lot more lately.
Once I get the vintage I'll definitely share. For now re share my GSlooking forward to see your pictures then, SHARING IS CARING !
also it would be great to grow the watch collecting community starting with the seiko vintages here in SG.
