morning my dear hotdogs
landed in Dubai last evening. first time here.
immigration queue was insane but luckily we arranged for marhaba service (meet & greet) so they took us into an empty lane and we cleared quickly.
housing is affordable, even for rental. Cars.....I dont even wanna say. Petrol too. my BIL (also a car and watch fanatic) told me an aventador is about 400k sgd here?
AND THEY DON'T PAY INCOME TAX HERE IN DUBAI AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH
(I knew this already but it really hits home after filing for income tax recently....)
Let us stay for a week and see how it goes. Sg has gotten too exp for retirement.......
oh, for the watches, i will go and find out......
Hi all, seeking some advice here. Recently started to experience feeling the 'vibration' of the rotor on my Rolex submariner date (16610) through the oyster casing. First time encountering in the 8 years or so since I had the watch.
Would anyone have similar experience or know what the problem could be?
I guess it might be time for a servicing, which leads to my next question of any reliable 3rd party shop (other than RSC and JW) recommendations for servicing?
TIA
Bump for advice. TIA again
just back from shopping, into my study room and quickly take a picture, LOL

nice. but bezel 1/2 a click off center lol.
8 years is long over due.... Is it keeping time properly? +- how many seconds?
The DSOTM looks awesome, maybe that'll be my next target
The "dated" warranty isn't really a concern if it's just that duration - interesting note on Richemont though (I have a Cartier bag that I serviced with them a few years ago and I believe they expected even the receipt).
No worriesThe easiest way is to see the caseback, the one on the IW 5007 looks a LOT better.
Noted and thanks for the advice! Service center-wise, I'll likely be moving to New York so it shouldn't be a problem.
Eh? You're the first person to say that - care to elaborate more on the movement part?
I mean, I don't expect Rolex Daytona/Zenith El Primero standards, let alone the horology holy trinity, but surely it can't be that bad? Like say, a lot of Tag Heuers.
Every family has a retarded cousin. Strawberry Cream is our's.

Timekeeping not an issue for me. It is as accurate (or inaccurate depending how u look at it) as when i first gotten it.
Admittedly 8 years sounds alot w/o servicing but for a rolex, its not uncommon at all.

I am generally not an IWC fan (save maybe the old 5002). Nevertheless, I look forward to reading the substantiation of how:
"Movement looks rough and iwc logo not even applied.
the AR coating cannot hold up too.
Accuracy also sibei cui"
