So much advice given so nothing much to add. I think try doing some window shopping get her to point out some designs she might like. You never know instead of these petite feminine types she has her eye on a Panerai! Also she might find the Cartiers too dressy for everyday use. When I buy my wife a watch I like her to wear it as often as possible and not just dressy special occasions.

anyways polywatch made it look brand new after 1 minute of rubbing with a cotton ball.

looks good but i found the chopped off 6 and cartoony number fonts to be distracting.

does look strange at first sight but its all been done before in the watch world, here are some of PP's previous attempts:

I tht it looked like a datejust with the fluted bezel. Is it a new thing introduced in this model?

Looks good except for that star. Makes it feel chinese or like a zenith

explorer 2 looks tempting, trying to find pre owned one for 4k plus. Saw one at chrono exchange but they doth have papers or box. Watch was polished, 1996 t series with tritium dial. Going for 5.2k.. Salesgirl say if pay in cash can go to 4k plus. Not sure what is a fair price for it?

JW watch has one listed at 4.5k if you're interested.

called the pie-pan due to the shape of the dial, these are highly collectible vintage watches.

new is the "chronomaster" label which is supposed to be a better standard than COSC that Omega is moving away, so its a significant new watch launch for Omega, perhaps the one for the decade.

First glance reminded me of this -

zenith were bold to launch their historic pilot series a few years back. historically very accurate too (font, lugs, big crown). it inspired a few microbrands but pilot watches are still taking a back seat to divers. (pretty much so for the last decade with microbrand divers leading the way).

though i think PP's pilot launch this will be enough to spur this trend forwards. Not just pilots but aviation watches in general - including worldtimers.
