Hi guys.
On the subject of my humble collection which had been posted for your viewing pleasure over the past months, too lazy to post a group shot. I am looking at filling up the gaps in order to have a watch for all collections. I do lack a dress watch. I saw that Rolex had released a new 39mm Oyster Perpetual, would that make a decent dress watch or should I go for a nice pre-owned reverso for the same price-range.
I have the current (swiss) pieces on hand (Very sports skewed), not including the various orients, seikos and citizens I have.
Rolex - Explorer II, + (vintage heirloom DJ = cannot be on regular rotation)
Panerai - 164, 305
Omega - Moonwatch 3573, PO 2500 (45.5mm), Deville Chronoscope
Tudor - Grantour
Tissot - Veloci-T Automatic Chrono
I will be looking to trade pieces after I acquire the dress piece and not add on further(beyond a Heuer Monaco if I can find a vintage Steve McQueen piece). Think I have pretty much gone insane in a year of acquisitions( I initially had nothing but my vintage heirloom DJ + PO 2500) , taking a toll lol for somebody below the age of 30 and a wage-earner.
So bros, any advice for the dress piece? Should I go with the OP when it is released?
