By the way, how does the blind man tell the time? He wearing any special watch that could let him know just by touch?

I guess what he did was not to escape his problems, but instead face his life with whatever that he has.

Anyway, you are right that you should have a bit more allowance for the buckling hole. But how much is the question. There will be some thickness variation even though you specifically order a 5.5mm thick strap as all custom made straps are slightly different from each other, on the basis that they are individually handmade.

Easiest is to ask for no holes to be punched and once you test fit it on your wrist, you will know the exact location of the buckling hole and get it punched there.

Case in point. My first thin strap, 2.93mm. Did not want to take the risk so I requested for a strap without any holes. Punched it myself after test fitting it on my wrist. Till now, it is still snug as a bug in the rug! :)

They dont see/know much of what we know of the world now. Like he dunoe what is Fairprice(NTUC). To him, it's like a whole new brand..

HELP on Vintage watch Dead links-

- i has a old watch w/ tampered links, how to restore e link,
cos strap link is as below. *eg girard perregaux old watch

1 watchshop says there're watchsmiths can sort of "solder on" watch strap lugs, but only HK watchsmiths do it.

Any1 can recommend shops in SG can solve tis prob?

@azrielsc, if I'm not wrong, dark oil series is waterproof too! Great choice.

Haven't had the chance to "test" the waterproof-ness of any straps of mine. :)

But yes, Gunny mentions the dark oil series is waterproof. I believe it is the combination of the leather as well as the fact that there is no cardboard filler in the strap, hence it is less susceptible to water damage.
