Seiko movement is really solid. I love modding the watch with custom parts to suit my personality.

It's cool to see how a $80+ watch can mod to look it like a $200 dress watch. Of Coz, the in house movement plays a part too!

Mechanical watches further divided into automatic and manual

I suggest you google to find out more, it's common knowledge

There are Rolex omega automatics too

It's just that Seiko 5s offers an inexpensive mass produced yet reliable movement for the masses and that definition in no way demeans it's impact.

Many aficionados started off with seiko 5s

In layman terms, quartz = need to change battery
Mechanical = don't need to change battery
