Bezel mod takes only 5mins tops.. hahaha..
Of course dependent on the queue in front of you..

If possible, get Mr Goh to "preserve" the stock Seiko insert and lume dot.. which u can trade / resell / restore in the future..

Hello guys. Awhile ago I was looking at getting a 35mm Nomos tangente but as there isnt any AD in sg, I tried a 36mm DW in Bencoolen to figure out if the size would suit me. To my dismay, it was waaaaaaaaaaay too small and I gave up on the Nomos which was even smaller.

As I was checking out the window displays at one of the watch shops, I saw the IWC Portuguese(371446) with blue hands and I was mesmerized. However, it is significantly more ex than the Nomos and I left feeling emo after checking out the price. Hahaha.

Separately, I saw the Rolex Sub(114060) no date somewhere in the forum and thought it looks really good. I know they are 2 very different watches but I hope to seek your opinions on them and hopefully where to get (one of)them at a good price too. I've already checked out chuanwatch, brighttime, swx and a few more local sellers I found on google.

TIA!! :s13:

1. automatic watch are those w/o batteries to operate? while Quartz watch require batteries?

2. i seen some video that say that we should not adjust the date while in 10 to 3 as it will damage the automatic watches?

For part 2 i am very confuse can someone explain to me thanks !

Most people will find Rolex a more worthy buy as it has better resale value, in house movement etc. But hey, if you like the IWC better why not. The most important consideration is that you like the watch and you are going wear it.

Glad that my best friend loves the watch, all the hardship to get him a good deal is all worth while.

1. Automatic watch uses your movement to wind up the watch. Quartz watch uses battery (there are also solar powered, Kinetic etc)

2. Some watches changes date from 10 pm to 2 am. The date mechanism is hence engaged at that moment, therefore not advisable to change date iirc.

Enjoy your stay here!

setting the day and date between the period of change over (roughly around 2200 to 0200 +/-) can cause you to damage the little gears in the mechanism. to make sure we are safe, we advance the hour to a range where we know no changeover occurs (any place in the arc between 0300 and 0900)
