In fact I put it on and just do anything with it, except swimming cos the water resistance rating is dismal.

Technically you can.

But when I swim, I sprint, so the pressure exerted on the watch is a lot higher than leisurely swimming. I'd rather not take the chance.

I wear my Rolex when swimming.

Talking about WR rating, does change of battery affects the WR of a watch?

I mean like changing of battery at a normal neighborhood watch shop.

Should not affect WR unless they screw up the seals.

Or if your seals are on the verge of breaking down, the shifting during the opening and closing of the watch case might just be enough to cause failure.

and I am looking at the Seiko SKX007J divers watch..
I love clear back case too but this seiko doesnt have it D:

Any other recommendations other than this watch?

Automatic movement is preferred and the face of the watch must not be too small too
Any type of straps is fine because most probably I will change it to a new leather strap..
