I guess overall change are just hands length and lume but case and bracelet all the same

The classic Rolex philosophy. The deliberately slow pace of changes to their watches is what makes Rolex so endearing and frustrating, depending on which side you are on :s13:

Honestly the lume at 3,6 and 9 were asked like ages ago and only in 2016 they added it in :s22:

that's the thing.
they can take their own sweet time to change.
people still buy. be it WIS or anyone that wants a luxury watch. first thing is rolex.

brand leadership. they did a damn good job in the past that gave them the position now.

Got to admit it myself that I was looking at the explorer a few times and almost bought it because its not very loud compare to the rest. But I cannot get past that a Seiko 5 looks similar for much more less than it :o

Got what popular but not-so-affordable pieces don't have a cheaper lookalike..?

The appeal of the explorer is that it doesn't shout "Rolex look at me". No cyclops helps in this aspect. Perfect if you want something that flies under the radar without attracting attention
