hi there and welcome.
are you looking for a mechanical or quartz watch? and what's your budget if I may ask - that helps to narrow the brands/types.

i suspect u and slow_mo hide your monies in your underwear. come to me for full body check-up.

looks like 女人街 market those fake watch seller display :D

no money to even afford underwear after acquiring the 2254.50. have to go commando liao. :(

At $1/day, it'll be more than 5 yrs before I can save back the money spent on the 2254.50. :(

preferably quartz watch :o

Peasants like me can only afford something around 500-1k :o

thanks :o

i think i may have found the perfect watch for you: the bulova accutron II surveyor 96B213

96B213.jpeg

and here's why its a winner:

- it's priced on the lower end of your budget scale.
- quartz as you requested...
- but with a smooth sweeping seconds hand that's even smoother than an automatic or dare i say even seiko's spring drive?
- cos it's a "high performance quartz".
- blued seconds hand.
- domed crystal.
- date at 6 o'clock = dial symmetry.
- quasi-cushion case.
- impressively legible silvery grey sunburst dial.

Old school big loaf of bread with skin. And an old school skeleton watch with chronograph.

I will get a daniel wellington gold with brown leather ($300?) for dress
And a seiko solar chronograph diver ($300?) for sporty
If want, grab some fun watch or G shock or something for casual. All bases covered within 1k. :)

If it's just one......not sure if longines has something in that bracket. I like their classique.

stopped right there.

dw are overpriced quartz fashion watches that any self-respecting watch person worth their salt will stay far away from. seriously.

just bookmark it on your KIV interest list of watches.

you'll feel more satisfaction with your purchases once you start working & earning.

my current philosophy now is to always lun, be patient and not to succumb to the BBB craziness (of course having my fav grail omega 2254.50 on wrist really helps :)). never overspend. save sufficiently. research thoroughly. most importantly: know myself well, establish my priorities, be certain of my taste and motivation, always seek the best value/bargain and buy the best i can afford and be done with it, so i don't need to waste time & money building up a pile of watches i won't be wearing much. also, i wear my watch(es) to please myself, not to broadcast my status. i don't need a status symbol crutch to validate my self-worth. and eventually if it happens to be a rollie, it's because i know i will enjoy and appreciate it long enough to justify that expense. (actually a rollie on wrist means i would be poorer by $10k plus - and cash really is king).
