thank you all! is stainless steel bezel a lot of difference away from ceramic?
cause i have the mindset that since im paying so much le, i'll pay a bit more if it means getting the better deal (in the case, either stainless steel or ceramic)

The new bezels are supposed to be stronger, be more more scratch resistant, and last longer than the older bezels which more than offsets the added cost. Which bezel is more visually attractive is a matter of opinion. It is possible for Ceramic to shatter, but these are very isolated cases

Ceramic is able to withstand against hammers pounding on it with human force but it may shatter if it is knocked against a solid, sharp, pointy object.
or the impact is concentrated on a particular point on the ceramic bezel

Though its far and rare. but it may happen if the user wears his/her ceramic bezel rolex for sports like off-road stunt biking, whereby crashing into muddy grounds with the motorbike is part of the game

and take note that if it does snap or shatter, ceramic bezel is far more expensive to replace than the traditional SS bezel

The ceramic bezel will not "age" with the watch like the aluminium bezel will.

For me, the real benefit of the ceramic Subs is the awesome glidelock bracelet. Very easy adjustment.

The new rolex bracelet and clasp sets the industry standard. But one thing it's very heavy.

The biggest thing about the ceramic bezel watches is that they come with the new bracelets. That alone is worth buying the watch for. It's far far away from the older bracelets in terms of quality and feel.

Seagull 1963

Hi bro Nakedtoes and all senior bros,
I'm newbie here and am interested in this watch. Went down to Adelphi but was disappointed when the store owner quoted me SGD418 instead of SGD298, saying that the seagull.sg website prices are in USD. Not sure if any bros have similar experiences. How much was the price in SGD from this shop before the offer?

seagull just email me special promotion seagull 1963 for 298..

Curious which one, if any, will make it to your collection (first)! :D

Thought you used to have a black dial WG SkyDweller??

I really dun know but the latest steel Daytona with ceremic bezel and white dial should be the first...

meanwhile I'm seriously pondering over this, reserved it but still thinking, do comment

do note that this watch case is kind of trapezium shaped

Hi watchbros,

I am looking at buying a Rolex Sea Dweller 116600 (not the Deepsea). However, I am not adventurous enough to go the pre-owned, overseas AD, or grey routes for my luxury purchase.

Based on varied past experiences of members here, is there any recommended AD or ADs that I should start looking at? THG? Or the smaller ADs at Wisma?

Thanks!

if you walk in, the very most they can give is 5-8%.
push further is 10% but everytime no stock.
Wisma rolex AD is not small.
It's by Emperor, quite big in HK.
maybe you can try the boutique at Hilton, look for Roland. He's the manager, maybe can get you more discount.

pre-owned, overseas AD and grey is just as safe.
pay lesser.
just go for the bigger more reputable shops.
