no right or wrong, just buy what you prefer from who you prefer.

me - i like buying microbrands where I can identify with owners on the website and message them directly. e.g. magrette - dion/thailand, promethean - carlos/portugal, halios - jason/canada etc. with a real touch.

even aquadive - they are a larger outfit but have a small but personable team, can reach out to ask them questions and they are responsive.

yes, that's what I felt too. will prefer to buy a brand where you know who's the owner, responsive, good review ... that's why I did take a look at Dievas but did not buy it .. most people are guessing who own it, are they actually german ...etc.. cause me to be skeptical about it ...

Honestly I may buy one if they stated it's by Gnomon, but that's just me

nice patina on hour markers...not sure if its the lighting but did you change the hands? matching even patina on both hour markers would be a collectors dream.

Googled here and there. And found out it's actually hesalite. Which means i get to polywatch it whenever there's a need. :s13:

It's the lighting that "whiten" the hands. It's suppose to be almost the same as the hour markers.

Just had a fruitful meeting with Elsan. Was initially there to look at the Ventus Black Kite and Zelos Eagle, but ended up having a very interesting conversations about the background of operating a watch company (or companies in this case lol)

The Black Kite is very very well designed, but I'll let the photos do the talking. The only thing I want to point out is that Elsan made the right decision putting a stainless steel case inside the carbon case in order to give it some heft, if not it'll be light like a plastic watch.

Look at that bronze patina on the bottom right watch! Compare that to the watch on the upper left.

LOVE the sandwich dial

Took this to show the carbon graining under different lighting conditions.

Zelos Eagle!

IMG_20160119_195604_zpsbafg5q96.jpg

Took this to show how thick the watch is and the unique design. Also the dome sapphire is a great choice. It distorts the dial when viewed from different angles.

Bro any thoughts on the Bronze eagle?

Any particular aspect of it you're interested?

Personally I love the patina, and I like how much the case with the patina blended in with the dial and hands. But.... YMMV.

My colleague who was there with me preferred the bronze without the patina.

I'm wondering about the synergy between the bronze and steel casings in particular...

And the case back looks weird to me in the pics...

Loving the patina though!
