no right or wrong, just buy what you prefer from who you prefer.

me - i like buying microbrands where I can identify with owners on the website and message them directly. e.g. magrette - dion/thailand, promethean - carlos/portugal, halios - jason/canada etc. with a real touch.

even aquadive - they are a larger outfit but have a small but personable team, can reach out to ask them questions and they are responsive.

Nothing wrong to buy from microbrand.

When u wanna buy those AD and the German site replied but once warranty claim they blow you off. Trying to get your $$ is one thing, making them pay is another

yes, that's what I felt too. will prefer to buy a brand where you know who's the owner, responsive, good review ... that's why I did take a look at Dievas but did not buy it .. most people are guessing who own it, are they actually german ...etc.. cause me to be skeptical about it ...

Honestly I may buy one if they stated it's by Gnomon, but that's just me

Imo... buy a watch which makes me feel good.

Anyway... it's might just be a marketing strategy. Just like Paris baguette... there are still tons of people out there who don't know that it'd actually belongs to the same Korean company with Baskin Robbins.

Plus gnomes might just be a small shareholder which may be the reason why they cannot say it's Co owned.

Hi guys,

Newbie here to the watch world. I'm thinking of getting a watch for a very long time. But I got a problem. I'm a skinny guy, hence a skinny wrist. (Reference: I wear a Xiaomi band. Locked all the way to the last hole. And still 1 finger can go in between the band and my wrist)

I'm thinking of getting a Daniel Wellington Dapper(38mm) due to its simple and clean design. Not sure if a <38mm watch face will look weird.

You guys have any suggestions or alternatives? Appreciate if you could share your opinions. Thank you..

Wow okay.. But why? Are their watches low quality? I don't know man, I'm a newbie like I said. You have any good alternatives bro?

Bro, that watch can be found for 10 bucks without the branding. Basically you are paying for branding and not quality. State your budget and we'll try to recommend you watches.
