I'd probably be more happy with my 639 than the 1.2k Rolex

family heirloom. Lucky daddy was in business and could afford them expensive stainless steel oysters. It was expensive then, for a wristwatch which wasn't really a necessity then. They called Rolexes "Oysters" back then too. Even till today, my dad calls it the fat oyster, the gold oyster etc. LOL.

And for the record, I don't work in Changi. A different prison if you will:D

simi prison warden, simi not changi?

what talking yiu?

got rep MM300?

Hopefully not!

Now I'm just waiting for the supply of SBDX017 to grow, and the remaining SBDX001 to be sold out, so that the street price of SBDX017 can reach the street price of the SBDX001. For the moment though, sellers are going to want more for the SBDX017 due to the improvements over the SBDX001.

Zonda.... I really missed your old Explorer ;)

equal_34, this is a watch thread. so people here openly share their love for watches, share the art of how the watches are being made, share their stories behind each watch purchase.
everyone here also discuss about their next watch buy, what kind of watch to buy for their wife or husband or to celebrate their next milestone

In fact, I would really love to know your story behind both red submariners... whether the dial version is Mark I-VIII, Mark II or III

It would be even better if your Red Submariner is the Super, uberly rare version with the Brown Dial

if wanna hao lian... there's the EDMW actually :s8:

Thanks for the love..... on the explorer =:p i missed it too........

Here a pic to rekindle the fond memories

wakaka I emailed the fake rolex seller. Apparently, he does cash on delivery/meet ups. so I can inspect all I want lol. He says the 1200 piece he sold was a franken with genuine bezel insert, crown and dial plus it's fitted with an original Swiss ETA.

He said he currently has 2 more in stock until he needs to go overseas to handpick them.
SGD1000 - franken. Gen bezel + Gen crystal - with some Hangzhou movement inside.
SGD600 for a Swiss ETA 2824-2, no genuine parts. Although he says looks super genuine.

He even said he can send pics first. Soooooo tempted on that SGD600 piece lol!!!!

Ya, I've thought of doing the same as what you did, buy a preowned 001 now, then in the future when a good SBDX017 comes along, get that and sell the 001.

Hey bro, thanks for pointing out the objective of this thread ;)

My lao kok kok 1680 kept time since 1979..
Some friends commended how well she maintained her body while others commented on her uneven patina and the little dimples on her face...

I understand everyone sees beauty differently but is being rare a crime?

However hurt, I think she would oblidge a selfie on the 29th

Hi gaoxing bro, just to ask you how's your BBB going so far? I am considering whether to get that as my first luxury watch, do you think it's justifiable, given that the price of 4K which I'm paying for is a watch with 'top-grade ETA', not factoring the alluring exterior prospects?

What if I told you that Explorer is a fake and I have valid reasons?

Lol this thread becomes a "Spot fake Rolex" thread.

Bro, go challenge him bring down to Rolex center for authentication. If the watch is real, you pay the fee. If the watch is fake, he pays the fee.

Then the rest of us can bet on who is right and who is wrong.
