The easiest way to solve this is for them to replace my set.

When I was there at the service center I can sense from the way they talked to me they have the spare set, but they just refuse to use it for 1-1 exchange for me.

My problem is because of their design flaw and many people face the same which XM also admit. So they should only exchange for me !

Can you imagine having a new phone for 5 days and cannot use it ?????

I don't doubt you and given benefits of doubt, you "Assume" they have extra sets for exchange? why not sell the stocks and make all users with issues wait for replacement?

(Never Assume if you know what i meant: Making an Ass out of u & me = AssUme)
Keeping Stocks cost Money, Inventory Is Money.

At Least Xiaomi Admits it, Other brands? Remember Apple's Reception Error? they take weeks to push out a firmware update just for add a few bars to it.. (???) Samsung? on model have problems? its okay i will come up with another model few month down the road.

Firmware update have stopped for My Galaxy Note at 4.1.2
they expect you to upgrade!
But i loved how Samsung and Apple Changed the industry, what I'm saying is everything and i meant EVERYTHING will have Flaws.

:s13::s13::s13::s13:
some laughter will take the heavy atmosphere away

I hate people pretend to help but did not do anything.

I have given my contact to XM which they promised to contact me, why until now no response ??!

My SMS to XM service center also receive no response!

Is that a good service standard !!!???

Maybe they contact you on Monday?

and Xiaomi Should give me my Sim ejector Pin for Mi3, previous email asked me to dropby service center just to open the slot, at least give me the pin (i know its cheap but its missing for what i have already paid).

well luckily i have My pin From apple and it works. :s8:
so meh.. please do take note Xiaomi.
(I don't expect you to ship a Pin from china to Singapore just for me though any Pin Replacement will do)

you can sense, i can also sense that i am a millionaire but when i check my account, i have less than 1k in it.
should i be angry with DBS for lying to me?

micro sim card holders have been out for years and this problem does not only affect xiaomi. if anything the problem lies with you. why did you insert the sim card holder without the microsim, or are not careful when taking out the sim card holder?

XM did not admit its a design flaw. what they did admit is there is a flaw with simcard holders. so it is not their fault.

while i think its an unfortunate situation, you shouldn't be moaning about it like a bitch and being arrogant will not help your cause. the xiaomi staff are human too and as humans naturally they will want respect.

between an arrogant customer like you and a polite customer like me, who do you think will receive a 1 to 1 exchange if there was only 1 spare phone available?

simple answer
they did not respond because you are neither a VIP customer nor are you the only customer they have.

Thank you for being a polite customer . That is your choice and I have no comment

No offence! But so far in this thread, seems like TUV faced this sim card issue.
Like what lumpy mentioned, maybe it's user mishandling the device. correct me if i'm wrong.

and people! chill! it's weekend afterall! :s13::s13::s13:

To be fair to TUV, I don't think it's completely a user problem; even Xiaomi sg admitted that their third party micro-sim adapters may have issues.

However, as lumpyme nicely pointed out, the bang-table approach seldom wins accolades with service staff. They are obviously doing their best to handle the situation; they are new in sg so they don't have a lot of spare stock lying around, which is fairly obvious seeing how they sold out in two minutes.

Just came back from my backpacking trip. Landed in Guangzhou for a few days and bought a Xiaomi Mi3 there because my Sony Xperia Z1 broke down. Its a very decent phone and I got it from the "Ah Beng" shops in their version of Sim Lim Square. Slightly more than the retail price here but it's ok (+$10).

If online sellers from China tell you that they have connections and get the phones from Xiaomi manufacturers direct and can sell you cheap, they are most likely lying and selling you a fake Xiaomi. In my short experience there, even the "Ah Beng" shops there buy the stock from people who manage to buy from the Xiaomi website online and then resell it at their store (pretty much the same as what shops like WhyMobile, Mobile Square are doing). The big IT stores don't sell Xiaomi because Xiaomi doesn't have traditional distribution channels. Even in public, I see very few Mi3 phones too. More iPhones and Samsung phones.

The Xiaomi Mi3 that I have, comes with the official RMB1999 receipt from Xiaomi website.

Just wanted to share my 2 cents here for anyone who plans to buy one online.

Usually the battery seems to be used up quite fast during the first few days. This is mainly due to two reasons (1) The battery does take a few charge-recharge cycles to reach its maximum (2) We tend to play around with the phone a lot in the first few days; screen time drains the battery.

Just got back my Mi 3 scratched backcase from Xiaomi Service Centre. They have replaced a new backcase for me.

Turn overtime: 5working days.

Special thanks to Bruce who handled my case.

Transaction was smooth, and he kept his word.

Received a call from XM service center at noon asks me to go down for a fix.

Managed to get down and fixed it by the afternoon.

The service center guy admitted that a wrong SIM tray was shipped with my phone that caused the jam of tray. Bought a nano sim adaptor from them and insert to the phone on the spot.
