Please don't use the e-ideas APN. I changed to "internet" and it goes from speed 30kb/s to 700kb/s.

If you choose Zenfone, I rather you take Redmi, can save even more.

Do note other than hardware/specs, MIUI software is better than Zenfone.

A bit difficult to compare; apple vs orange

Since you mentioned you know advantages, maybe mention disadvantages of both

Mi3
doesn't have dual-SIM
Camera doesn't have the interesting time rewind and pixelmaster mode

Zenfone
doesn't have backlight for home, back, menu keys
CPU is low/mid class, not snapdragon 800 class
8GB internal storage, about 4GB available. Note that apps cannot be installed on sd card, unless you root the phone

Wow I did not know the apps cannot be installed don SD card.. 4GB where got enough for Apps? If its true then I will keep the Mi3 .. hope can arrive today, its already been sitting in Changi since Sat Morning

Thks for the headup info.. ok la 12GB is sufficient i guess as compared to 4gb.. just backup and clear my photo/video more often I think can.

Its still a good price at $339 for the spec..

bought a Mi3 cover for $5.60, pretty good... will go HK later and see what other covers to get for fun since quite cheap.

htc chacha, just replaced with bb q5 [still love hardware keyboard]
nokia 808 [king of camera phones; have not found anything better]

mi3 is actually not bad.. would have considered this instead of redmi if it had sdcard expansion..
