Anyone using this? Kryonaut seems like a good all rounder but sibeh expensive. :s22:

Performance Pcs is like USD$60 for 10ml.
With shipping become SGD$100+ for thermal paste.

Really got so good ah? :o

haven't used this yet, will do so in upcoming build. in any case, 10ml is plenty of TIM, more practical amount to look at is 3ml or 1.5ml.

IIRC Amazon did sold them previously though I not sure if it ships direct to Singapore... For wc i just bought few tubes of Gelid GC-Extreme Thermal Compound which was one of the best before kryonaut came out and the delta between these two is very marginal....

since when did comparing apples to oranges become a logical response? it's akin to saying IGP "pwn" a 980Ti because you get more fps in Quake on the IGP than Crysis 3 on the 980Ti. what is undeniable is that Kryonaut is only marginally better than other good TIMs, as rightly pointed out by Op_Valkyrie. worth the significantly higher cost or not, to each his own.

Liquid pro is the best thermal grease.
Isn't that electrically conductive? More like liquid metal liao?
Btw, no point using incredible thermal grease if the TIM between IHS and core is crap.
That's why people delid lorh. If not haswell-e is very attractive option.

While logical or not haha just chill (pun unintended)

Anw, to add on, its not really saying igp 'pwns' 980Ti but more like igp works better for me than 980ti because I only play quake 3 and I don't need like 10000 fps.

maybe the whole idea is not to fuss over stuff that don't make a whole lot of difference.

For me is Yui Hatano. :s34:

No, but serious, no point comparing simi apple simi orange. End of the day my concept is: ownself buy, song ownself. :D

It's like THE $10,000 Audioquest Diamond Ethernet cable. Some audiophile swear by it. Some engineer says its snake oil. So how? Who's right? Who's wrong?

Argue until cow comes home lor. For what?

Sometimes you just want something better because you can afford it. Like I buy Adidas or Nike shoes for my 3yo. For what? Got chiong one mah. And they'll very fast grow out of it.

So why do I still insist on buying expensive originals?

Answer is: BECAUSE I CAN.

Also, there are some people who swear by Shell VPower. Although they driving Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6. Why again? Because they ownself pump, song ownself.

End of the day, you're happy with the things you bought. That's all that matters.

won't disagree with this philosophy. but if one starts making illogical comments, just be prepared for the appropriate response.

OK, my opinion is that its not worth it at all. Just cheap thermal paste will do. The reason?

I use liquid pro before which is considered the best of the best. So what? I tried on Haswell E and it didn't improve overclocking. Temp drop by a couple of C (using custom loop) only. No difference in OC compared to MX4.

I delid 4790K and use liquid Pro also. Temp reduce alot. But then, overclocking hardly improve also. I only manage 100Mhz more compared to MX4.

So at the end of the day, I feel there is no point spending so much on thermal grease. Cause lowering temp does not affect performance/reliability/stability. Better to use it on better GPU.

Of course, if you are going for sub-zero cooling, thats different story. But at room temp, no difference.
