Thermal Paste: What do you use?

What thermal paste are you using and crucially, what would you recommend?

I've tried some Xigmatek paste which wasn't particularly impressive but cheap, Arctic MX-4 which was meh considering the price, CoolerMaster MasterGel which had a horrible cap that always caused the first squeeze of thermal paste to be dry and chalky and now I'm trying the Chinese GD-900 from AliExpress.

Given that our ambient temperatures are fairly high and humidity high as well, what has worked for you in this climate?

7 year old MX4 and Noctua NT-H1.

Both are within a degree Celsius diff.

Most of the thermal pastes are within a few degrees of each other, unless it's a super shitty on one end, or if you decide to go liquid metal (which has its problems).

MX-4 for most applications; I bought a 20g tube for about 28 bucks a while back. I find it to be the most bang for buck. Performs better than AS5 or Ceramique 2

I have Noctua NT-H1 as an alternative.

Kryonaut is the next step up, but for the $$ I find it bo hua.

Beyond Kryonaut, there's liquid metal or some boutique stuff like KingPin (don't know much about these, but not very interested either).

Using MX4 as well. I've used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, but the tube that I used seems to consistently caused the surface of the heatsink cold plate to be defaced. Happened to 3 or 4 cooler that I tested. I checked online for this issue and indeed it is not a remote issue. So back to MX4 again. It may not perform as well for sure, but its a couple of degrees different which I can accept.

Noctua NT-H1 for me SLS shops like Global Cybermind have.
I have been using this for most of the components, not a fan of CM Thermal paste.

Using CM master gel come free with air cooler for temperature test using CPU-Z bench for reference.

Idle at 40-42°C , Full load around 80°C & below

I use MX-4, cheap and well reviewed, didn't find any issues with it. Arctic also released their new MX-5 thermal paste recently if u r interested.
