Anyone knows if there is an imposed minimum age to bring along my kid for those catamaran half day island hopping, and banana boat or jet ski activities?

Depends on you too, how young would you want to take your kids, can they wear a life vest yet?

A viral outbreak targeting the digestive system has left near 6,400 people fighting diarrhoea in Phuket province in the last week.
Dr Kusak Kukiattikul from Phuket's public health said on Tuesday that the number of patients were the highest on June 8, adding that both Thai and foreigners had developed symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and fever.
Phuket Provincial Public Health Office is going all out to contain the spread of the diseases that has infected 6,382 people from June 5 to 12.
About 70% of the patients have been infected with norovirus, which causes inflammation of the digestive system and spreads quickly, Dr Kusak said.
However, he said the number of patients with diarrhoea had declined, adding that students who developed symptoms earlier had recovered
“We suspect that the digestive disease spread from water resources and ice, so we collected samples from six factories and tap water in Phuket for inspection,” he said. The results are expected within a week.
He said the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office has instructed venue operators to ensure cleanliness in their areas and purify the water with chlorine before use.
Schools have been instructed to strictly undergo sanitation, while hospitals have been instructed to prepare medical equipment and supplies to support patients, he said.
He added that the office has cooperated with related agencies on creating awareness among foreign tourists on the issue in a bid to gain their confidence.

1. Which beachfront hotel would you recommend? Please recommend 2 or 3.
2. Is it better to advance pre-book airport transfer (from airport to beach resort) or just book upon arrival in Phuket airport?
3. Anything else I need to know in advance, as it's my first time to go there.

I will be going on Sunday.

1) Depending on your budget. Location wise best is around Patong area if you wanted to shop n walk around caused it's in the heart of Phuket and it's convenient moving around.

You can always google in Trip.com n Agoda.com to compare the resorts or hotels.

2) For transport wise, can go to the airport then booked or some hotels do offered such service at a price.

You can google online and compare the pricing.

If I am not mistaken, the transport from airport to resort about 800B depending on where you stay.

For me, I will take their smart bus which cost me 100B but then I am alone n not carrying any luggage so it's convenient for me.

3) Actually September is not a good month to go Phuket as it's the heaviest month with rainfall so please bring a umbrella with you. Never the less, there's also sunny day when you can go to the beach.

A 2.8km journey cost you B350 ( S$13.5 )

And also renting a car is definitely more convenient. No need to wait and no worries if raining.
