Interesting topic..

Nothing to hate as a tourists except rare discrimination against Chinese, probably due to the flood of China tourists spoiling the market.

But if I were to stay there, I would hate the cost of transportation and variety of food.

Their fast pace of living is scary, almost every part of the Tokyo feels like CBD area during peak hours. Can't imagine how stressful it is to live there.

Perhaps I got used to our own pace of living, when go Europe countries, their pace is super duper slow, yet they still have fairly good economy and sustainable businesses, quite amazing. It just puzzles me why most ppl from countries in asia work more than 8 hours a day but is less productive than ang mohs....

your last point, very simple.

in EU/US companies, you finish work you can go home. no need to pretend, find extra etc..

in Asian countries, you finish too fast, they will pile more. finish, pile more. then leave on time = no respect.

that's why ppl rather work slow in sg just to "clock hours" and do 1 thing instead of three

I had a real experience of Road Bully in japan Kawagoe.

Someone try to right turn and cut into a ah beng right of way. The jap beng HORN all the way force that poor guy to reverse back into right turn queue.

He can just let that guy turn right first. He do not need to to that aggressive.

Damn fierce.

Once at shinjuku station, i spilled my coffee, after cleaning with tissue, i was holding the mess of cup and tissue (no plastic bag with me), i searched high and low, no dustbin at all. Checked out the toilets, no dustbin too. Now i always standby wet tissue and plastic bags in my bag.

The bus ride. Maybe I am too used of eazi link style tap and go here. To board onto the bus. Have to go in from the centre. Then getting more passengers boarding the bus and especially to tourist attractions . Soon it packed like sardines. I pity those who need to align before the main stop. Passenger have to go to the front door for payment. It can be a 2 to 3 mins wait for every stop.

so really can body pressed body OL like AV?

The culture is to keep within you and throw it when you see one. And their country is catered for their locals than foreigners. One have to adapt when visiting, not the other way round.
exactly

sinkie sense of entitlement is too strong in this thread
