Am going usa on13th. Vegas, Orlando, New York and DC.

Which city is better than shopping? Any other good buys besides levis, coach, clothing? ;)

Who want to shop? We split half on margin. ;)

Well, they're all "better than shopping", but I think what you meant to ask was which city is best for shopping...?

I'd say do your shopping in Vegas. NYC is way more expensive (not least because NYC has a relatively high sales tax rate - 8.875%, against 6.25% in Nevada), DC isn't really a shopping city, and if you're going to Orlando you'll probably be busy with Disney things.

PS: if you're in Vegas, don't spend your whole time shopping and gambling. Dress up warmly, rent a car (Hertz in Las Vegas will rent you a Panamera if you ask nicely!), and head up the interstate to Valley of Fire State Park. It's phenomenally beautiful. You won't regret it.

Thanks for the tips. Vegas car rental is good. AVIS upgraded me.

but for this coming 26th, day rental. it is 103usd total. Any better rates for Ford Fusion? I need a bigger boot car. 2 big bags and 4 small bags. ;)

Orlando best place to shop so far for coach bags. Who else need shopping for latest coach ladies bag? Millenium outlets got the latest. Others don't have. Same price as internet. not .sg site.

For men, Vegas Van Heusen and their shopping outlet, Michael Kors is good.

tks.

103 usd a day is really high, esp for a small car like fusion.
Shop around other companies and look for coupons on the Internet. U can save a lot using coupons.

iPhones are probably going to be cheapest in US states with no sales tax (lookin' at you, Oregon). I don't know the state of play with SIM-free versions being usable globally, but I think it's a lot better than it used to be.

And for the watches... well, it depends what you're after. I've definitely bought fancy-ass watches in NYC and had them work out cheaper than Singapore, but at that level of the market it's all down to how hard you negotiate. You can always pop into the boutique and try your luck.

unfortunately, I am flying to NYC and not Oregon. Gonna be a long car trip to Oregon. lol.
i am not very good at recognizing values in watches lol.

Forgive me for this, as a typical singapore, i will like to buy watches that are a lot cheaper in NYC than Singapore. This is because I am assured of a better resale value :s13:
