Only 2 ways IMO works. I never try the lotion before so no comments. Finasteride and eat a maintenance diet or reduced calories diet if you are over weight. Reason is that will reduce the natural androgen level in your body which are detrimental to hair follicle growth cycle. But this diet is not conductive for bodybuilders.

Anyway I just got Pregaine shampoo and Audace reactive hair tonic. Tried the hair tonic but then it doesn't give me the stingy feeling which Kaminomoto gave me the last time. Any comments and users of Pregaine or Audace?

If your scalp is oily, the more you need to use a strong shampoo to clean off the oil. Most people who have MBP probably benefit a lot more washing their scalp twice a day. Although there are no research I know of, but I seriously suspect the built up of oil on your scalp increase your hair loss rate.
I wash my hair twice a day using head and shoulders anti-dandruff. Do you recommend using conditioner as well? I am using head and shoulders anti-dandruff scalp care conditioner once a day.

I feel that conditioner is not good for oily scalp, it usually leave a layer of hard-to-wash-away stuff on the hair and scalp, making oily scalpt worse off. If one's hair is already not thick and healthy, no conditioner in the world will help. The 2 effective anti dandruff shampoos are Nizoral and Head and Shoulder. Nizoral is more gentle but less economical.

To add on, this is my personal observation. A lot of people probably get healthier hair if they eat less calories. I personally observe many foreign workers from third world countries who grow up on less calories and are small in body size having a full head of healthy and thick hair. Once you start eating a lot of calories (westernisation of diet), you tend to trigger many anabolic hormones on your body that are detrimental to hair growth cycle and good blood circulation and you end up with unhealthy scalp and result in subsequent thinner hair. Of couse there are other factors involved like the sensitivity of the follicles to androgens.

Kaminomoto is more expensive. So I'll try Audace which costs arund $9 to try out first. Gonna try out for a few months and see how it goes.

conditioner should only be use on the hair, not scalp

Yup. when using conditioner, turn ur head upside down so that your hair won't stick to your scalp. Then apply conditioner on your HAIR, avoiding touching it on your scalp.

Actually I wonder what is the point of conditioner. It just coat the hair with sticky stuff and made them appear "thicker". But these sticky stuff will reach the scalp and made the scalp feel sticky. Remember those 2 in 1 Shampoo.

Hey folks... have been taking Propecia for about 5 months, and can testify that it really works!! My balding patch on top less visible now.

Problem is... Propecia is sooo expensive. $86/mth. Read from some prev posts that some of u guys take Proscar. I asked my doc for it but he said his clinic doesn't carry the drug (wonder if he's lying). Know of any pharmacy/clinic I can get Proscar? Do help!!! Thanks!!!
