So far, the 2 treatments to have shown significant clinical results are Minoxidil (topical) and finasteride(oral).
Although some people say Nizoral shampoo helps. On its own, it usually doesn't do anything much at all to arrest hair thinning/loss. It's more to keep the scalp clean as people with hereditary hair loss can sometimes have very oily scalp and seborrhoeic dermatitis (dandruff) with itch. But clinical studies have shown that it works well when used in combination with the 2 treatments stated above.
Before you guys go spending a ton of your hard earned money on treatments and what-not, do read up more and equip yourselves with as much knowledge as possible.
Having said all this, I would suggest that you guys see a dermatologist first to get your condition properly diagnosed. Hair loss can be a result of various other things.
