erm sorry.. there's too many pages in this thread i dun think i can finish going thru all of it..

i need some advice here... would really appreciate genuine help from u guys...

i'm 23 this yr.. juz started working for about a yr.. *stress*

i noticed that i've dropped a lot of hair for the past few months... especially around the hair parting(slightly left parting).. which stretches to the top of my head and there's a small area of "very-little-hair" around the top..i'm nt very good at describing.. but ya.. i hope u get the picture..

i've hair that is slighter longer than shoulder length. use to dye it, but i've stopped for fear that my hair loss increases.. the middle portion of my hair makes me look like i've got a bunchful of hair.. but the problem area is at the top.. seems like i'v got a very big hair parting.

initially i tot that it could be the weight of my hair thats making the parting grow bigger.. so i've tried shifting my parting to the right, and sort of alternate it abit.. but doesnt seem to help..

i'm seriously considering medication or perhaps seeking consultation before the problem deteriorates. from yun nan or beijing 101 or glower? roughly how much does it cost for the whole package until my hair is back to normal?

and is there any better solution?

really need genuine help here..

oh man... is there any one here that can give some good advice?

male hair loss tend to be associated with DHT, don't think you can get much advice here in this predominantly male thread.
you can try taking multivitamin with zinc.

haha... those are the things that cause me to ask whether are you a lady. i gald you didn't read through the thread as most of the discussion here is about man hairloss. ok, just to clear something on your first post.

parting of your hair will not cause hairloss. so just style the way you want. most likely colouring your hair will not cause hairloss unless the chemical cause some allegy reaction which i sure will be pretty obvious. also, i doubt stress is an major contribute to your hairloss. if that the case, all of us will be pretty bald during PSLE or O level.

forget about yun nan, beijing 101 or glower etc. you will only waste your money. instead go to national skin care centre to check your problem.

unlike male hairloss which is mainly Androgenetic alopecia(common male hairloss) is cause by male hormones and is progressive. other type of hairloss for man is quite rare so it is easier to know what type of treatment we need.

other than hairloss like alopecia areata, scalp inflammation etc, cause of female pattern hairloss is much more complex and can be sudden as they suffer from hormones imbalance easily like from expecting a child, period, medication, genetic, illness, excess male hormones etc. therefore, if you are serious about doing something about your hairloss, do go and see a doctor. go to polyclinic and get an refer letter to national skin care centre. there are effective treatment for female pattern hairloss. do catch it early so you can save most of your hair.

good luck.

hi all

went to the doc's yesterday for other things. Happened to ask the doc for the capsule or time-release types and he said they can be bought at pharmacies but they don't come cheap.

also, the chopping of proscar will not help if you have it in 5 pieces. the acid in our stomach would have eroded most of the chemicals without the shell. so up to you guys to believe or not. i'm give proscar 6 months and then i'm off it if there's no response. currently using 4 parts instead of 5.

the doctor told you proscar will be destory by stomach acid?

early animal test on finasteride use powder type on fruits to feed the monkey and it work well. that is like cutting your proscar into thousand pieces. also, many people are dissolving it in alcohol and drink it by part and still it work. so i see no reason why cutting proscar up will not work. some people even believe in chewing your propecia pills to make it work better.

all right, my last post before i off to malaysia. see you guys back in about a week time.

either he is trying to get you to buy the more expensive propecia or he do not know his stuffs. but don't fault him, he can't possible know in details thousand of drugs. we only focus on a few.

my doctor told me it is safe to donate blood after using finasteride while the truth is you have to wait for at least a month in regulation although finasteride will be out of your system in a matter of days.
