Thinning Hair problem

Hi guys,

I'll be joining the club after being in denial for years. It has finally happened when people in the office asked me "Are you balding!!?"

Been trying Kirkland's, Shampoos but didn't dare try Propecia/Proscar as I was against any oral medication.

However after reading through this thread, it makes a lot of sense to attack the DHT in our blood which is why I went ahead and ordered a year's supply online. I was also thinking of getting a wig at aremyhair.com. Figured it would better to shave it all and wear a wig instead.

I am very pleased and shocked at the same time!!

To all the brothers out there. Stick with your regime if it works and you'll see results.

I bought 4 sticks of Rogaine 2 years back. Afraid of trying it as they say once stop dosage, hair will drop back. Looking at the expiry it's March 2012, can I still try it?

No special regiment. Just eat as per normal. I hardly eat any fast food. Normally fish soup and rice for lunch or just normal rice/chicken or meat and vege. Sleep as per normal.

For the first 2 months I didnt use any hair gel. But now I'm using just a little bit to hold the hair in place. Haha.

I believe attacking the DHT in the blood is a more effective solution then external treatment. I tried Minoxidil and it didn't work. However if you are against pills, then by all means, you should try the shampoos. I feel that external solutions are just attacking the surface of the problem, not the root of it.

not sure whether finasteride will work for frontal hairloss, but its very effective against the MPB type where hairloss is in the middle.

shampoos that says it helps hairloss are focusing on hairloss from breakage, different from the actual hairloss

which bro here using both minoxidil and propecia?

just curious who stopped the use of minoxidil but cont with the use of propecia.. is there alot of hair loss after stoppage of minoxidil?
