Third Party keyboards discussions

How do you guys find the new keyboards? I installed Fleksy and Swiftkey, tried for a few days but in the end I feel the new Apple predictive keyboard is faster for me.

The worst is that Swiftkey has a slight delay to come up with I need to type something.

I had Swiftkey on my Android as well, but I'm sticking to the stock keyboard to see whether I like it. I think you just need to wait for Swiftkey to work out the kinks and update their app and it should be as smooth as the Android one.

If I don't end up liking the stock keyboard after the end of the first month or something I'll probably just go back to Swiftkey.

I feel the default predictive iOS keyboard is rather slow in predicting the next word.

As for Swiftkey, yeah it does have the lag when you are opening up to type. On top of that, some of the apps do not work well with the Swiftkey keyboard as well.

whatsapp got issue using swiftkey, i encounter few times today the keyboard will not come up and then i cant type anything in whatsapp, had to go to settings and select keyboard again

Cooolkeys is good but too bad it doesn't support autocorrections.

I have used Swiftkey in android for a few years already, I like that it learns your common words and it can support multiple languages at the same time. However, it gets laggy sometimes.

I'm using Baidu Keyboard (best for people who need both Chinese and English input) right now but the one thing I hate is that it defaults to Chinese input.

Hope there will be a fix soon.

Are you using third party keyboards or are you sticking to the default apple keyboard?
I started off with minum but later switched back stock due to the really bad crashes in iOS 8. Keyboards requiring full access also turned me away from third party implementations

Recently started using Nintype and found it to be really impressive. The keyboard landscape has really changed quits a bit in the part few months.

Downloaded few free and paid one third party keyboard.. In the end still stick to stock keyboard.

Con of 3rd party keyboard
- require full access
- some no predictive texts
- sometimes lag

yes nintype is a godsend. Very very powerful keyboard. I can prob type faster on nintype then a physical keyboard

Nope, can't stand the lag. Expected so much more in terms of implementation from Apple.

Bought handy key off Cydia, never looked back.

Yea Apple did relatively bad job in opening up the API to 3rd party dev.
It's pretty poorly handled.

I got the hang of it within a few hours.
Its pretty easy to use.

what problems are you facing?
Basically with nintype you can choose to either swipe or type out your words.
The main difference with other keyboard is that you can swipe with both hands.

You are right. Its really good and the fx effect is amazing. But I really want the sounds back.

I think Fleksy is one of the few 3rd party keyboard that has sounds. I really wonder why...

For now im sticking with Nintype. Haha it cost $5.98 I think.

Yea Nintype was really costly but it doesn't require full access and it was what i required

I tried nintype and don't like it.
The visual effects drain battery.
It also does not offer next word prediction.
SwiftKey still the best.
