Sturdy metal ones might be possible, but definitely cannot get the details that this sexy beast offers.

Not a new concept, saw DIY version years ago during ~Y2K. nice to see but may not great to use in real world. I definitely won't like to have light shinning to my eyes from bottom and the vibration will irritate me to trash it in no time.

For me, definitely not a good way to amaze people. I rather spend the money to fill my whole room with 6x 27" 1440p LED monitors or even get a 16"x9" LED panel (those u see outside shopping malls) for monitor than this desk that people may miss if it is not lighted up.

Another thing is usability. There is a reason why people keep their PC components in the square metal casing. Imagine if I have to keep turning on and off the LED lights emitted from the water cooling just to prevent those irritating lights from spoiling my movie displaying on the 3 monitors...
