I bought Apex 17 with 2070GTX.

The damn thing is LOUD when you turn all the graphics setting to high/ultra.

Other than that, it is nice. Love the keyboard though.

The Apexs are no longer from OEM Clevo but from TongFang another OEM maker.

Appreciate your input, couldn't wait and went ahead with the apex-15 lite.

How's the battery life on the 17"?

Well when I bought the laptop, battery life is the last thing I considered because for gaming, the battery is not gonna last long.

There are actually 2 battery model for the 17 inch (not sure about 15") which the bigger one will extend to the 2.5inch HDD space.

AS is offering the small battery for the model.

FWIW at least the RTX2080 isn't the max q version. Hence loud fans.

Anyone know whats the power rating on the adapter on the apex-15 lite? Wonder if I can use a Zolt(70W) to charger it? (nvm, checked and realised its a 180w charger, this is not even close)

Received my Apex-15 lite yesterday.
Did a test with Witcher 3 on high, was able to maintain 60 fps easy.
However the CPU runs hot! Ranging from 90-95.

Fortunately after undervolting to -125mV, managed to take 10 degrees off the CPU

Hi, this is when plugged in right ? What do you get on battery ? My fps drops dramatically when on battery, down to maybe 10, even on low graphics settings. Didn't realise it would be that aggressively lower on battery vs plugged in. Is that right ?

Probably means yr nvidia gpu isnt running when u run on battery. It reverts to the integrated card. You have to manually enable it. My asus laptop also does this.

Im looking at the RTX2060 variant of Apex 15 lite @1899, but now Aftershock is having a offer for the Vapor15 pro model with 1660ti @ 2155(w/OS)

Gian the keyboard and battery on the Vapor 15, other than these 2, are there other things i should take note of?

Did you mean w/o OS? I was at the showroom and felt that the Apex 15 Lite is quite well built and compact. Reason for going with Vapor for me is the large battery and Thunderbolt (next time can upgrade using a eGPU). If you intend to just use the laptop docked then probably good enough I guess? Just sharing :)

Now vapor 15 is going at 2155 with the OS.
2060(apex lite) vs 1660ti(vapor15)...

Is 2060 really better in terms of performanc?

Anyone compared Apex 15 with Slate 15? Or considered both?

Curious how much better Slate 15's cooling system is vs Apex 15's and if it justifies the additional weight.
