Well if you get the 1080p screen on the 14 inch i don't think its possibe to max out the settings in games with gtx765m. 1600 x 900 i think will max out though.

A good monitor is good to have, but if not, can always get an external monitor to hook the laptop up later.

Agreed. The GTX 765M is really good for its price, but at full HD resolution it will start to stumble somewhat due to the lack of memory bandwidth, as compared to higher end solutions.

To be honest, a full HD 14 inch panel is gonna make fonts and icons look very small by default. And for gaming, I find it way too small for my liking, tho dif people have dif preferences. I do recommend trying it out before purchasing.

Actually the Singtel Alienware deal is quite good. 55 bucks for 24 months is only 1320, about 1K cheaper than the RP on Dell's website. Though their plans are more expensive.

think today is the last day for that Singtel offer, but I'm tied down with Starhub. But if I were to get, I'd go for 17" with minimum 770m or even 780M. Am looking forward to see the actual laptop to decide if its ever worth the money.

I also very temped to sell my m17xr4 with gtx680m for the newer series....esp the matt or 3d screen upgrade...its too costly to buy aftermarket parts from dell.

1 thing good aobut alienware is very easy to customise, i might get a gtx780m and fix it in myself like what i did with my gtx680m.

Both the gtx680m and gtx780m is GK104 so meaning it will work on the m17xr3 or r4.
