Never bought a laptop before, entering uni soon so planning to get one. Also, if theres a way to get the products for cheaper or you have an alternative in mind, do let me know.

Just some stuff about my preferences:
Usage: Nothing intensive, just league, valorant and maple, maybe light coding, also watch movies alot but im not sure how intensive that is.
Size: Looking for something with a bigger screen, am not very worried about weight, have an ipad also which I think will be what i mainly use for moving around.
Budget: 1.5k-2k, willing to stretch abit more if can get a good deal.

I heard alot of good things about lenovo thinkpads, so this is the one im looking at rn after customising on their website, the thinkpad t16 gen1 is$1625($1480 without 3 year warranty). Is this a good deal for a laptop and would it just barely satisfy my usage or it fine? I don't really understand tech specs very well but is it bad that the laptop does not have a dedicted graphics card, theres no option to upgrade that part for this laptop.

Also heard some good stuff about macs being very reliable(not too worried about incompatibility of mac software and windows), took a look at the education pricing for macs and the cheapest unupgraded 15inch macbook air is already 1799 and on paper the base specs compared to the thinkpad looks abit lacking?

Can consider Aftershock's portable Lunar series, $1790, fairly lightweight and still has a GPU (online specification didn't write the TDP W so it's hard to tell how capable it is)

Doesn't look like a "gaming laptop" so you can still bring it in class without being eyeballed. Not sure if their suntec showroom have it for you to inspect, it's big but it's missing quite a few stuff from their catalogue last time i visited

Apply LENGSG10 for 10% off.

Suggest to add in fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard as well as 3 years onsite support. Your uni will need Windows Pro, not sure if your uni will provide free upgrade to pro or not if you are using home version.

Total $1685. 3 years onsite support is better than carry in (Carry in warranty service is by different provider)

Tertiary institutions have special laptop deals that are about 20% cheaper than market prices.

Check out your school IT website.

You need a dedicated graphics card in this era.

consider getting it from school first. the deals are usually better, and most schools/institutions are able to provide on-site support within the school.

Hi, I am also looking for a 16 inch, 32 GB memory, and 1 TB SSD. Went to Lenovo website to check out ThinkPad T models https://www.lenovo.com/sg/en/c/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadt/ , but didn't see any models that have 32 GB memory or even 1 TB SSD. Is the model you posted here not available anymore?

Click on T16 Gen 1 (AMD) and customize. It is expensive now, over 2k compared to 1.6k before.
