Hi all,

Need some advise after reading the long thread.

Wanted to buy a sport model from AD but noted you need to have purchase history.

Can advise following:

1) Which AD would likely have more watches for their interest list (THG or KHH)?
2) Any recommend SA to look for?
3) Looking at a DJ 41 with Everose Gold, is there still discount available? Some mentioned 5%.
4) After you purchase, how does the AD know you have purchase from them and keep the track record?
Think THG and Cortina are both quite choke full of these "bundle" requests, so try to go either to the less popular branches or the smaller ADs.

If you want to bundle, there is little incentive for them to offer you the 5% discount (I'm assuming you mean the two-tone DJ41).

After you've gotten the DJ41, you have to check in occasionally with your SA to provide for the sports model. They won't "magically" remember you.

ps, I hope by sports model you don't mean GMTs or Daytonas.

Thank atypicalsingaporean,

What do you mean "bundle" request? Buy DJ together with sport model? Looking at Pepsi GMT II and Submarine Date.

Went many branch, all don't have above model. Want bundle also can't. So looking at which can give more discount.

THG told me usually end of year difficult to get, this year worse. Easier 6 month later before resume production.

Only few AD? Which consider small? KHH? But it is reputable one with long history.

There's no such thing as bundle. I.e you buy your DJ they sell you the Sub at the same time. Only way is to buy the DJ, and hope you've a good AD and SA that will help you push for your Sub. No need think about the GMT with a DJ purchase only.

By "bundling", I meant a designated pairing, and the DJ41 being collected first. It's quite difficult to pull off a simultaneous purchase nowadays, or the traditional bundling.

Let's face it, if you can't get a commitment to get a Sub Date with your TT DJ41, it's gonna be a tall order. The Pepsi GMT II is very hard to get with a waiting list even for VIPs, so let's worry about that another day.

Anyway, I foresee the situation worsening... when the economy fully recovers with Rolex production line in full steam, the demand would be even crazier, now that it is proven that Rolex value is literally recession-proof.

This recession or the last 2007-2009? Or 1973? Quartz crisis? Millennial still has demand, gen z not sure if they favor all things smart.

Thanks adgjl321, didn't know GMT so bad. Actually I want Sub but like the Pepsi and Jubilee. See how. No hurry too. Maybe the urge will die down soon :p

Would a Rolex serial number affect the holding value of the watch? I have a Rolex with serial number ending with 888 😂

Dont Bother going through to AD, unless you buy tons of underdog watch brand and you will be put the piority lane for getting the sought after collections.

hi guys, going to get my first watch through either Facebook groups or Carousell.
Can anyone advise me what to take note? Like a full set has to include what inside? And also where to verify for authentication? Don’t wanna get cheated or scammed on such a big purchase... thanks in advance all

And also, may I ask does the date purchased affect the watch price? Like let’s say there’s 2 BNIB Rolex Hulk, one is purchased on 2015, one is purchased on 2018, both are BNIB. I would assume the 2018 BNIB will have higher value?
