Root beer will target not🤣
Since you got all these worries, maybe just don’t wear it to KL. I mean, I think it is ok but if you have these worries hanging on your mind half the time, then might as well not wear it there. It takes away the pleasure of wearing one if you constantly worry about it

Just buy a $10 Casio watch and go in vs losing a $30k watch with wrist and unable to work for the rest of your life (maybe unable to ***, joke joke).

play safe!

Yes @fatghost please heed this. U want mechanical just go for the cheaper brands.
Don’t f*** around and find out please.

Don’t think it’s wrong or foolhardy to wear a nice watch when u go on vacation. If u like watches and hope to enjoy it, it may be a bit extreme to avoid wearing nice watches overseas altogether.

but at least take all the precautions u can and feel safe enough. Big gold watches are really asking for trouble. If you don’t feel safe, that in itself says a lot. Maybe get a seiko 5 gmt and enjoy wearing it to KL trip. Next time get a OP 41 black and slap on a nato or something, also can be an alternative? Root beer, cyclops, rose gold, bicoloured bezel, oyster bracelet… from a mile away can see…

I think Malaysia air and rain will cause scratches on the watch.

Heard Patek service centre can’t access Geneva purchase records. But when someone registers a preowned piece under the new owner, Geneva will know? So confusing

Cos when the new owner register, his details and the model / serial number will get sent to the PP owners register / archive in Geneva. So, PP Geneva will know that the original owner already flipped the watch.

if want to start a "rollie journey" with AD.... cortina vs THG vs KHH vs E which one might be easier?
I think:
Cortina vs THG - Both are probably similar.
KHH - Depends if you willing to write essays praising their owner and boutique to the sky and also if you willing to buy a few ugly Tudor classics which I heard you are not even allowed to flip that quickly
Emperor- Depends if you willing to buy jewellery to journey. The jewellery designs I heard are a bit dated

Ah I see.

https://www.patek.com/en/retail-service/the-patek-philippe-register
This is the online registration. It seems like when you fill this form, it is for the Geneva registry, and simultaneously it also activates the magazine.

And when you send in for servicing, although service centre and Geneva don’t share a system, likely they will also inform Geneva.
