Also supply and demand. Sounds like sub demand very high, but supply also much more than gmt. There’s this YouTuber dealer from uk, says submariners really selling hot cakes

My friend who’s an FA, see Rolex also see until sian already. Years back he bought a Tudor BB for his first watch cuz he needed a watch, then until now hold off from getting a big purchase watch, he also turned off by Rolex, cuz hard to get from AD and too common. I intro him to VC, he just put his name down for a full gold Fiftysix Day-Date

I know of another guy, quite rich, lives in landed property, in his 50s and amassed a huge collection of over 60 Rolex watches in last 20 years or so. Mostly full gold Daydates, Daytonas, GMT Masters and some vintage Datejust and Submariners. For him, he will only buy and collect Rolex and even though he is affluent to buy Patek and VC, but still he will only collect Rolex. For him, he say he is happy at just buying Rolex and he loves Rolex because designs are safe and won’t go out of style.

Indeed, I only own my first Rolex at 40. Got to save many years then can buy. Nowadays young people very rich
