I bought two non Rolex watches from an AD to continue my journey towards a Batman/Batgirl late last year. Seems like my SA hinted that I won't get able to get the Batman/Batgirl, unless I get another watch like a Datejust or something similar.

But it seems like a sub date black or sub is possible as an alternative, or any sports model that's not like a GMT, Starbucks, Daytona and above. Am considering this option vs getting another watch for my wife to yield the GMT. My wife is still considering, and I believe I don't need another Datejust or any other watch in my collection right now lol.

Any bros would know if I should just ask for a sub/sub date and be done with the journey? AD game is tough lol, although I really like the two non Rolex watches I've gotten.

Let me venture a guess. The two non Rolex you bought are none of these brands, ie Hublot, FM, GP. Otherwise it is quite hard to imagine two purchases like this didn’t get you a Batman/Batgirl. I feel with a purchase of another DJ plus the two non Rolex you bought should get you a Batman / Batgirl. But if you are really fine with the Sub Date, I supposed you can go for it although I feel you can try harder for a Batman / Batgirl.
