I'm actually looking for black date sub. I remembered few years ago the price is around 10k+? Now when I look at carousell the price is rather crazy. I saw some of the retail display the suggested retail price around 11k?
The watch world is entirely different from few years ago. A lot of things are trading over retail price, and only going higher.
Yes, the requirements has gone higher this year. Previously maybe in 2019-2020, you can be allocated a Submariner if you had just bought a stainless steel Datejust. But now, no. You might have to get at least a Datejust plus one other brand to be considered for an allocation for the submariner. I saw one guy who had to thank Max and the entire KHH boutique 3 times for a Deepsea JC he was allocated for. First time on the day he collected the watch. Second time was 2 weeks later where he thank them again out of the blue. Then on Sunday a 3rd time where he thank them yet again on their 51st Anniversary celebrations. It’s just amazing

generally no. best i've seen are quite a few YM in Barcelona, but your standard SS sports or SS DJ41, OP31/36/41 are hard to come by
the last time I went rolex MBS 6 months ago. It was like that alreadyHappened to be at MBS not too long ago and popped by the rolex boutique there to have a look. Needless to say no sports models in sight but what surprised me was even datejusts are totally gone, not a single datejust 41 on display, not even two-tone ones and for datejust 36 there were only 2 two-tones on display. Had a chat with the SA and i said I'm really surprised that even the datejusts are being wiped out, she said it's a crazy world we live in now
