i am interested in the Yatchmaster, however my fren keep dissuade me and ask me get the Sub/GMT "better value" , whats your opinion guys?

just get what U like, why buy a watch for "better value" and disliking the watch. Are U buying for value?

but its true, sub has the best resale value if you need cash fast.

YM is wait to die only. but if you're confident you don't need to sell the watch for at least 5-10 years, buy what you like. at least u enjoy it for a half a decade.

Yes. Sub>GMT>YM in resale value.

YM is a good couples watch. My so has one in grey/plat with the teal lettering/hands and I find it very beautiful. If you’re a VIP or u have friends who are you can try for 5% off tops. You can also get it from grey dealers at 5-10% off retail. This way, you wouldnt be overly worried about resale value.

Then again, if it isnt a keeper for you, you might as well just go with the crowd and get a nice black sub.. even those are increasingly difficult to find.

i will never buy 2nd hand because the risk of cannibalised part is very high. its not common to get retailers who will refund u if the parts are found to be not genuine.

buy original. sleep well at night. no worries

if wanna buy for value or resale, its better to put the money in equity stocks or some other investment products

you can try negotiate generally 5%-10% discount for the watches on display there.
