Hi I'm new to this and aiming for the Rolex DSSD (Blue) and aware of the waiting list for this model. Do I need to place a deposit when I join the waiting list? Not really willing to pay a premium (2 - 3K) to the grey dealers and not in a rush.

No need deposit. Some have posted here before that they believe the waiting list to be arbitrary at best or even fictitious. No harm leaving your name with multiple ADs and perhaps you can help prove or disprove this let's say over a 3 year time frame?

Depends if you belong to the "say no to premiums" group or the "it's ok I cannot wait liao" group. Haha..

Personally I won't pay a premium of more than $2k even if I cannot wait.

If you are putting names, might as well put your name for the Daytona, PEPSI GMT as well.... see which one call you the first. (You will never go wrong with any of these purchases)

The ADs are jus playing customers..they haf the sports stocks in the safe but are not taking out just to “maintain” the “fake shortage”, every AD have the stock inside they are just choosing when and who to bring it out for. If realli no stock of sports at all then they will close down by now if only manage to sell 1-2 sports model every few months.yes they sell datejust or classic but cannot be evryday sell classic.
