So you mean it will sell at higher than retail price once release to AD? Hmm... can’t wait Liao, get a black gmt master 2 still got stock which retail @$11,300 fixed no discount, what do you guys think 🤔, is a 2009 model though. :(:s12:

I don't think they are allowed to sell above retail. But they can choose who they want to sell the watches to and the process of who gets to buy and who don't isn't transparent, although I would imagine it probably works like a bundle deal.. The more regular biz you can give the AD, the more willing they will sell to u over someone else?

This is unlike say a raffle for sneakers collabs, or first come first serve system that seems more fair.

But think about it, outcome is still the same, almost everyone who Q, who strike lucky at a sneaker raffle, iphone launch etc are mainly out to make a quick buck by flipping.

The only way to eliminate the flipping, aside of no demand or flooding supply (not happening) is if you can control/prevent the flipping, which I don't think any stakeholders have the interest nor resource to enforce..

what is a good price for 116263 or 116264

Hi everyone. Im looking to get my first rolex. But i am looking at a discontinued model.

Either 116264 with the blue dial

or 116263 with the white or grey dial.

I know this model has been discontinued. Anyone knows what is the price i should be paying for a preown piece for the above mentioned 2 models?

They quoted me 1690 for overhaul. 400+ for replacement of pushers, 900+ for replacement of dial which included the hands. End up I just say go ahead with overhaul but dun replace any other parts as i was not bothered by water resistant tests. Just wanted the watch movement to run smoothly.
Initially wanted to go JW to do service but he say he can't service Daytonas anymore due to Rolex tightening control of parts.

Wow close to ap servicing.. I'm also looking to get mine serviced. May I ask why did they recommend changing the pushers? Was it faulty or?

Ap royal oak offshore costs me around 2.2k if i rem correctly. Pushers and crown change were recommended for water resistance compliance. As i told them i do not care about water resistance, they just proceeded with the standard overhaul. I did not even do the crown change as they told me the new crown will be different. I wanted to minimize any parts change for my zenith 16520.
