Open question to all on the street price for the popular sports models i.e. gmt and sub.

What is your view/prediction on the prices based on current level and why?

To start the ball rolling, my view is that IF Rolex continues status quo, current street prices are at the resistance point already and would be fairly stable (not likely to go up or down).

View only applies to production models. Discontinued models, depends on the hype.

I would say grey market price will continue to drop slowly 5%-10% per year. Historical trends do not lie. Prices will slowly drop down to RRP. There's just not enough middle class to support the trend.

Hi guys , would like your 2cents . Is it worth to get a Batman date 2016 at ard 20k ?

With only 5 years of production, then discontinued, it has already been hailed as a future classic by reviewers early on before it was discontinued.

The first dual toned ceramic bezeled steel GMT. With a flushed crystal to bezel. And PCL oyster bracelet.

The Batgirl doesn't have any of that. The crystal sticks out of the bezel. And the hideous jubilee bracelet. I'd rather get the Pepsi then. And I am not sure if I can even carry it off. Not my style.

And rather than a 2016 piece for $20k, I hunt or wait for a 2014 or 2015 piece for a few thousand less.

Hmmm . So I guessing that the International Warrenty isn’t that important ?

Firstly, it is a Rolex, robust and reliable, often needing no service for its first 10 years (personal experience and also many other people's)

Secondly, movements with basic complications such as a date and GMT are not difficult to service or repair.

Thirdly, and this is specific to the ca. 3186 and this is what I had read online about Rolex, in the USA anyway.

If it is the caliber 3186 jump hour and date adjustment issue in the GMT LN and also in the late model 5-digit GMTs and 16570 Explorer 2 before the switch to the super case models, Rolex will simply quietly replace the problematic component with an updated and more robust component at no charge, even after warranty. This is what I read online about Rolex service centers in the USA. Not sure about Singapore though, but safe to say Rolex do not want a class action suit on their hands, over an easily solved problem.

Rolex had then decided to replace the problematic component with the updated one across all their 3186 movements begining in 2014, both during production and during servicing. This is what I had read online.

Since the Batman GMT started production in 2014, it is safe to assume all Batmans have the upgraded 3186 inside already.

My personal experience: I have a 2015 Batman, a 2008 116713LN and a 2009 116710LN. After coming back from service, both the 713LN and 710LN click similarly to the 2015 Batman, which has never been serviced before. Previously, both the pre-2014 GMTs had a mushy feel when adjusting the jump hour hand. So they must have changed something during servicing.

I was looking for something with 0% , Brightime is charging 5.5%

That's credit card charge. Not interest.

If you can't even afford the 5.5% initial charge.
Don't buy. It doesn't elevate your status in anyway.
Don't because of watch. Eat only bread for 1-2 years.
Don't be dumb

This case happen to my rolex explorer 2, 3186.

I argue with the "auntie" at the rolex service center due to manufacturing defects, This "auntie" so call very knowledgeable for rolex deny this issue.

But after sending in, the to and fro email, i prove to them about this issue base on USA rolex service center .

They repair for free and the watch come back in good condition.

Can try for retail from AD instead of paying premium.
