Those with the chronometer certified means the movement have been sent to undergo official tests and certified to deviate within a stringent error margin of between -4 to +6 sec per day. This certification is valid for only the first 3 or 5 years (can't remember exactly).

My Dweller is a S series 1993 in very good condition :D. it's a Tritium dial with SEL bracelet, brand new bezel and full links. Importantly, the movement keeps time within +3 sec deviation per day. At SGD$4500, I think it's a wonderful deal for a watch that's 13 years old.
Actually I am more concerned about the value.....does it mean that those w/o the "superlative chrono official certified" are older versions?

Btw the way I also think your SD is a good buy at $4.5K...somemore wif brand new bracelet and bezel....can know where you got it from?

Nope, there are submariner 5512's with the COSC certification circa 1970's - 1980's also. So it's not something that is recent, but it's a requirement for all professional tool watches to be certified.

Thank you man, if not for the condition, I wouldn't have bought the dweller. I got it at Bronze Age, chinatown point. It's a family run business. Once in a while, they'll have pretty good deals. Nice ppl to deal with. Look for AiPei. I deal with her everytime I go there. They recently went online:

Welcome bro, always good to have new rolex owners coming on board. I started with Omega, Rolex, Panerai and aim to get a IWC Portuguese or Big Pilot next. It's addictive mate!

Hi bro beng hoo and fellow rolex lovers,

Just to share my joy and pls dun misunderstand that i trying to' how lian' hee...hee

After much consideration and budget wise, i had bought a 2nd- hand Date- just few days back. So happen that during a shopping trip with my mum as she is oso a rolex lover , we passed by and went into a 2nd-hand rolex dealer in town.

We saw a 'boy size'( suitable for me cos hand quite slim) date-just with blue dial roman and I fell in love with it at 1st sight and the rest is history.... Mum manage to bargain the price for me and i bought it on the spot. Quite happy with my first rolex....hee...hee....bought it for $3600/- watch had just been polished and one year warranty from the dealer.( including parts and labour)

He also gave me a warranty card that states that he will 'eat' back the watch for 80% of the sale price if sold back to him within 3 months. I oso visited the pawnshop yesterday and he quoted me $2000/. The pawnshop uncle oso mentioned that the brand new'rolex boy' prices keeps going up recently and 2nd hand' rolex boy' market beri bad now..wow lau eh...sad to hear that!

Anyone can advise whether izzit true that that this model is retailing at ard $6600 after 15% discount at Rolex AD for brand-new ones as mentioned by my mum. Any comments about my purchase? izzit too exp for a watch like that?

Similar to this one- but mine dated in yr 2001.

Aiya no one bothered to reply me... Anyway spent my whole day running around Watch Palace, Hour Glass etc finally found the cheapest offer at Peninsular. Hee initially just wanted something simple but settled on this submariner baby. Goes well with my blue seamaster hee

First hand. Spur of the moment buy. Use 24-months, now credit card totally maxed out except 90 dollars limit left, so no toys for 2 years sob sob. Paid 9.5K. Not a bad price right? Goes very well with my yellow gold chain heehee. Very bling bling.

I hope the price increase will be 20%! Hehe
