Ya u missed out the Flight Tickets and Accommodation costs.. Unless you go there for free, it is probably not wise to go Europe just to buy watches there.

Most of the times popular models such as Hulk and Batman, like most SS sports models, will be sold out in the AD in major cities.

I go there on Biz trip so air tix and all paid for. Last trip i went to 5 cities.. all bo what normal ppl want but i miscued when i was offered two hulks. i said forget it.. what a waste.

I calculate using hulk. After vat rebate and tax singapore Gst. Still way cheaper than the price selling here. Did I miss out anything?

Vat rebate : 13%
Sg Gst: 7%

Price ~S$10.4k

Maximum I see people get is if they know the boss of the AD, which is doing the tax refund also. My friend got 20% VAT Refund in Greece.

clarification pls.
when you guys say got 16% or 17%VAT discount.

surely the base price(before tax) of ROLEX is the same price everywhere in the world, after factoring in exchange rates.
for discussion purpose...lets say a particular model of watch MRSP is EURO$10,000, then what ever tax is just added to the MRSP??
if 27% VAT country, then the selling price will be EURO$12,700.
if 17% VAT countey, then selling price will be EURO$11,700.
if singapore 7% GST, then selling price will be EURO$10,700.(coverted to sing$ whatever).
but in the end its still the base EURO$10,000 that will be the price of the watch...right?

so how can it be 'cheaper' to buy from a country with Higher VAT rebate?? surely the selling price will also be higher in those countries with higher taxes?

The msrp itself without tax varies a lot from country to country. Including tax, the prices are more aligned.
