Timberland shoe resole

Hi all
Wanted to resole my timberland however timberland has stopped the service and outsourced... Any timberland kaki got lobang for good and cheap resole?

If its not goodyear welted, it will be hard to resole without damaging the leather. Blake stitch shoes need blake machine.

I used to go to timberland to fix my boot sole when they still outsource.

They outsourced to shoeline enterprise at people park center at that time.

The guy took out the midsole, sew the "thick" bottom sole to the mid sole, and then glue the mid sole to the top of the shoe.

Till now still good, walked through mud, water, step on many things very durable

Hello, sorry for digging up old thread. Was also directed by Timberland staff to go there to repair my hubb's shoes (sole dropped out). Will be going down tomorrow but want to know if is expensive?

No problem, i can take the opportunity for me to update on my boot's status since my last post .

Mine cost $50 for resewing and glueing of both existing soles. The person will call n "quote" if i rmb correctly. Can ask the guy tmr when u go there.

In my opinion if the shoe's leather is still in good condition, it is worth resole-ing.

I wore my timberland since 2012, i didn't take care of the leather back then, recently then start to take care, but leather is worth to take care , it will last

It is still quite durable after the resole. I stil walk thru the rain n puddles in april 2017, and it still kept my feet dry. Most important is take care of the leather

Wow! Thanks for your speedy reply and awesome information there. I reckon that we need to leave the boots there and come back another day to collect?

For glueing and sole-ing it back at $50 per pair is not expensive, imo.

My brother's boots are worn regularly and are 5 years old whereas my hubb's are at least 8 years old and not worn regularly. But both are still in good condition. After all, these are Timberlands. Haha.

Just an update: Shop was not opened yesterday.

Been calling them since Sunday but no one answered despite it being forwarded to a mobile line (ringtone was different). Did not think too much into it as general information on Google was that it was closed on Sun and PH.

When I tried to ring them again yesterday before going down, again no one answered. Again, I did not think too much into it as I thought that they might have been busy with work and sometimes older generation shopkeepers don't like to answer the telephone.

Well well well. I lugged 2 bulky pairs of Timberlands with me to office in the morning so that I can send it there after work. Alas, shop was not opened!

According to the namecard holder stuck on their roller shutter gate, normal business hours should be Mon-Fri: 11:30 am to 7:30 pm/Sat: 11:30 am to 6:30 pm.

I reached at 6:30 pm and hung around for 20 minutes before I gave up and went home, lugging the 2 pairs of Timberlands again.

Imma give them another chance again by getting them on the phone before going down again before I pass a final verdict on them.

Currently, a bit pissed that no attempt was made to inform customers that they were away (at least pick up the forwarded call la or paste Announcement paper on the roller shutter to inform that shopkeeper away).

I would have expected better service standard from a shop which was recommended by Timberland.

There's a shop in Komtar JBCC that does resoles. Near the food court.

the shop timberland recommends is pretty expensive... & the chap is not v friendly too.
