The video makes some flawed comparison.
4K is 3840x2160 = 8 million pixels without taking into consideration refresh rate/fps
Ultrawide is 3440x1440 = close to 5 million pixels.
The difference in image quality already makes the comparison moot.

Not gonna argue that the aspect ratio will be better for some people. So if you're choosing ultrawide for that, that's all right.

And for those playing older games/ non-fps, some games may not support the 21:9?

Just my $0.02 worth.

I would suggest going for a Ryzen build as it has more cores and threads than Intel so video rendering/encoding/editing will be much faster.

If you are able to wait, Qoo10 has $100 coupon (min $600 spend), which means you'll get better discounts.

My replies to your questions:

(1) I'm not sure why you want an Intel system as even for simple video editing, a Ryzen system will be faster with reduced encoding time given that it has more cores and threads, e.g. (i5-7600 - 4 Cores 4 Threads VS Ryzen 5 1600 - 6 Cores 12 Threads) (i7-7700 - 4 Cores 8 Threads VS Ryzen 7 1700 - 8 Cores 16 Threads).

But if you want only Intel, then an i5-7600 bundled with Asus Strix H270F Gaming is $528 or an i7-7700 with the same motherboard is $631. Prices from Tradepac and the motherboard has RGB.

(2) I'm not sure when the next Qoo10 $100 discount will appear, but they normally have it once or twice per month. Keep a lookout on the Qoo10 app or the Qoo10 Deals thread.

(3) Fuzzie is an app (can be downloaded from Apple App Store or Google Play). Additional info from this link http://www.fuzzie.com.sg/

Shopback and credit card rebate can be stacked with Liveup and Fuzzie gift voucher.

(4) You have to do a price comparison between SLS and online shops. Do "recce" around and ask for discounts if you are buying a lot of components from 1 shop.

If both are from Asus and they come with Asus Aura Sync, then their RGB will sync. But, the Ryzen motherboard and GPU that I suggested does not have RGB as you only told me later that you wanted it.

For the RGB mobo & GPU, you'll have to get the Asus X370-Pro for the motherboard and Asus ROG Atrix GTX 1080 Ti for the GPU. Both items will be more expensive.

Xtreme run out of the box in higher clock but few fps dont make much different
get the cheapest if u don't mind the "look"
