Hk mtr peak hours super packed, imagine they engage assistant to push you in like those in Japan. But efficiency is better than Singapore.

Not so kuazang la!

But yes, the general atmosphere has become hostile to a certain extend, suspect due to the very high percentage of mainlanders there. Not unlike over here, you'll tend to see or rather hear, more PRCs than HKers everywhere.

They're hostile during my initial stage there, improved quite a bit during my last trip, but now it seems to be back to the older days. I don't really blame them especially when we see similar situations here - if you can't beat them, join them - so lesser smiles and more pushing here as well.

IMO, HK is a very good place to experience what we're going to face in years to come, if the percentage of PRCs increases here as well. :s22:

Hong Kong is a fast pace country, guess that is why most Hongkies also become like that, walk very fast and will be grumpy if you stop them in their path :D

Not too bad even if you find yourself in their MTR station during peak hour.

Just go with the flow, if you've to stop walking for any reason, find a corner/side so you won't block anyone. On the escalator, keep to the RIGHT unless you intend to climb up/down.

Whatever you do, remember that's not a park - keep moving, stay alert, don't block anyone unnecessarily.

In their MTR, they really "fall in, Q up" to move into the train...but really crowded...

I was not mentally prepared for that huge a crowd so tap out and went shopping/meals b4 taking the train haha.

Its really same as SG for peak hour. But dun worry about overcrowding or missing a train. its nth like SG. i would say it so much better down ther. even on Count down NYE. their trains are much longer. so rarely u have to squeeze.
