NS e-PREP Scheme was introduced in 2003 to assit our NSFs to better prepare themselves for their universities studies (or jobs) after being disrupted for two years due to NS. This is a small token remediation for the disadvantges they suffer when they go back to schools (or job market) after the two-year gap. The NS e-PREP Scheme is definitely a very good initiative and deserves a strong support.

However, NS e-PREP Credits had stagnated at the $350 level for more than 10 years. It is high time that it be increased, at least to account for inflation!

Assuming an increase of $50 per NSF, and less than 20,000 NSFs per year, the increase in the NS e-PREP annual budget is less than $1 million!

A small change, compared to the sacrifices made by NSFs.

$1m for 15,000 - 20,000 NSFs is indeed very cheap! These NSFs make so much sacrifices for the nation, and are at a disadvantage when they go to universities for their studies because of the 2-year lapse! These e-Prep courses are meant to help the NSFs to better prepare for their studies. Those not going to universities can also benefit by taking these e-PREP courses to upgrade themselves.
