soo i try using this OCCT program to cod:warzone and 3 matches on multiplayer..

this the result i get...

Hmmmm,... the newer build your suggesting is also a 6 core but with 12 threads. Not much of an improvement if you ask me.

What I would do is the following: -

1. Upgrade the graphics card to the 2070 Super as you mentioned
2. Replace the memory with faster RAM 3600Mhz. Once confirmed working sell off the old RAM!

Re-evaluate the situation at this point as the processor different isnt big enough to justify a Motherboard + CPU upgrade if you ask me. The 2 suggested upgrades can be brought forward to the next system.

Hello, recently my desktop start to give problem.

Last time play COD still quite smooth all this. Then recently Crash Liao then keep lagging in game although my settings is the same. Then keep crash after two-three games but lagging badly in game

Usage more to RPG games and FPS game.

MOBO: z370M
CPU: i5-8400
GPU: gtx 1050 Ti
Ram: 16GB

Thinking to get a change
CPU: i5-9600K / AMD? But not sure which one
GPU: rtx 2070 Super

Issit better? But I abit worry my mobo cannot handle if were to change? Any recommendations?? Thanks in advance!!

I'm still using a i7 3770k O/C to 4.2 GHz cooled by Noctua NH-U12S, it's measured only 0.6% bottleneck my SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon™ RX Vega64 8G HBM2 (as you know performs better than a GTX1070 Ti but close to RTX 2070)

Yes if you want to stagger it then do GPU first and then RAM. At least you can see what impact each are having.

currently on ryzen 3 1300x, 8GB DDR4, GTX 1060 3GB, evo 960pro 250GB as main drive.

Should I wait for Ryzen5 (3rd gen) or get Ryzen 5 (2nd gen) and now the norm is 16GB (DDR4/5?), how about graphics card? dont need really high end just able to play games comfortably at 1080p/1440p@60hz. evo 970pro huge improvement over 960pro?

Ryzen 3600 and 2X8GB of DDR4-3200 recommended

If you are happy with the existing GPU, then no point upgrading. 970 Pro is better than 960 Pro but not worth the upgrade.

What do you mean by way for Ryzen 5 3rd Gen? We are currently on the 3rd gen which is the Ryzen 5 3600. If you mean wait for the 4th gen CPU's to be released so that the 3rd gen pricing drops then yes you can wait but not sure how much you will really save. If what we know today is correct you will need to wait until Oct/Nov timeframe for the 4000 series to launch.
