Hi all I will be going to tioman (berjaya resort) with a group of 4 total adults, during the peak period 24-26 May (24 May is a public holiday).

Is it recommended that I book diving/snorkelling boat trips in advance? If so how do I go about doing it? Do they have websites where I can place such bookings?

There is a sports centre in the resort. Advance booking is not required.

There are also other independent operators but you need to travel to town.

If you are not comfortable, just call ahead and book. From my experience, there are sufficient boats and crew to accommodate all such request (at Berjaya) as they make 2 such trips a day. If you are there for just 2D1N, you should worry more about the weather. If 3D2N, I am pretty sure you can get on one of the snorkel trips.

Yes, intro dive but usually at house reef which has nothing much to see, same thing you see as snorkeling but closer..

Hi guys, I'm planning to go to Tioman for 4D3N next month. Have done a lot of extensive research and found most of what I'm looking for however a few questions do remain which I hope some of the experience bros can shed some light on.

I will be staying in the salang area.
- Can I get liquor in salang? Like chivas/absolut or do I have to get it from tekek?
- how do I get to other villages from Salang besides trekking which will take hours
- are there bars in Salang which serve beer off the tap as compared to canned ones?

Hi,

You can book a private transport service that will pick you up from your doorstep in Singapore and drop you off at the entrance of Mersing ferry terminal.

The road there is narrow, deserted and dangerous, especially at night, so it is advised not to take a coach service if you are travelling in a small group or with children and elderly.

Dleodleo! I have visited Paya Beach Resort few months ago with my friends. It is a superior place to take pleasure in snorkeling or drive and relax. Its water is crystal clear. The food has provided at the restaurant was delicious. The staff member are friendly and helpful.
