Tips for an aspiring builder?

Planning to build my own gaming pc but I know little about pc building. Thinking about a gaming pc with a budget of around 1.6k (full budget 2k but planning to use the rest on keyboard, mouse, screen,speakers and sound card) any suggestions for parts to get and where to get them? Any help given would be appreciated :)

Start with youtube. Newegg n linustechtips diy guide. Learn the basics from there.
