There's also NTUC Guaranteed Life Annuity.
I got another separate calculation at 3.98%. Very close to 4%.
There's also NTUC Guaranteed Life Annuity.
I got bored so I calculated XIRR for this also. Since it's a life annuity, your actually XIRR will depend on when you die.

Why not calculate the payout on CPF Life Standard vs Basic ending at 100yo based on FRS of 171k at 55 with the given payout at 65 and bequest?
You can consider NTUC Guaranteed Life Annuity or Aviva MyRetirementChoice, both gives you higher guaranteed portion of payout if you are more concern about guaranteed.
unless they can beat 4% .. otherwise there is no use for pte annuity.

Higher guaranteed means lower non-guaranteed. In general, if one chooses a lower guaranteed, it gives leeway for the plan to pay out higher non-guarantee.
Ntuc shares will outpwrform all

ntuc shares can also refer to ntuc income shares! You must be joking. I got 2262 NTUC Fairprice shares. They are going nowhere![]()

ntuc income shares is 10 times fairprice, 10x 2262 u get more than 1300 pa for "life", at least 6%, less than 20 years capital back in pocket and still continue to get 6% and when u surrender get back another sum equivalent to initial capital! Both also going nowhere. I also had NTUC Thrift shares. Lucky got back capital when liquidated eventually.

Compare topping up from frs to ers, versus using the difference to buy tm gio plan, which is a better option?Yes and no.
Once you max out ERS, you have to go private if you want more.
